Hello! I'm Leon, a 29-year old Dutch guy. Graduated IT-engineer currently working as an assistant manager in an IT-company. Been playing World of Warcraft on and off ever since launch with the latter years mostly being off as I needed the time to get settled after graduating and working on my career. Now everything's settled down, I couldn't resist picking the game up again with Mists of Pandaria.
Past raiding experience:
Vanilla WoW: everything from Molten Core to Naxxramas 40 man with my warrior Aerikus as main tank with the guild Phoenix Flame on the Balnazzar - EU server, reformed to Paparazzi with the launch of TBC.
TBC: up to killing Lady Vashj and Kael'thas (tier4) at which point I took a break as I met my lovely girlfriend and needed to spend more time on my study.
WotLK: everything killed on normal in 10 mans. Started out on my warrior with a few friends playing casually. Changed to my shaman Aerike as we lacked a shaman in our guild (On Our Soil). Managed to down the Lich King on normal. Guild was too casual to try out hardcore modes.
Cata: Didn't raid much at all. Seen half of Blackwing Descent and Bastion of Twilight but nothing fancy. Got an opportunity at work to promote myself from workslave to assistent manager and decided to take it. Needed the time to educate myself enough and adjust myself to be fit for the job.
Addons you use for raiding & in general):
- Grid: Raid frames
- Recount: dps/healing-meter
- DBM: self explanatory.
Willing to install and try out other mods if needed but I like to keep it clean.
Are you able to use voice chat? (Ventrilo)
Got Ventrilo, Teamspeak and Skype all installed with working microphone.
Describe the kind of player you think you are (in a raid context).
I'm always pushing myself to learn and improve myself. I love getting feedback as it enables me to do just that...improve. I always come prepared to raids, mostly as I've had my 'growing up in WoW' in Vanilla, which was a grindfest to be able to raid in Naxxramas 40. I have experience in raid-leading and generally just love being challenged.
Motivation for joining:
From reading about Empire I get the feeling this guild offers what I seek in the game and I think I offer what Empire is looking for in a member.
